Speech on Alexandra´s and Robert´s wedding

Delivered by Matthias

Matthias

Matthias surprised us all when he stood up from the bride´s table after the starter, pulled out a paper and mentioned to us: "I have now something to say." Then he delivered a very personal speech which you can read on the following lines. Thank you very much Matthias! We liked your words very much and they made us very glad!

For all those who don´t know me: My name is MATTHIAS and I am very glad being invited today as a WITNESS TO A MARRIAGE by Robert. After their FAST WEDDING in Las Vegas I was already scarred to lose my assignment. At the end ALEX and ROBERT finally decided to have another wedding. This time it was a CATHOLIC ceremony where a witness is mandatory.

Shortly some notes to our FRIENDSHIP:

It all began with buying a SNACK at the market in front of our school. ROBERT and I. We almost collided with each other with a sandwich in our hands. Anyhow we started to talk and made an appointment for a BICYCLE TOUR. We found further similarities on this tour. Regular meetings followed and a friendship with several joint adventures was arisen.

Here some basic data:

Things I was aspired to by Robert

Perhaps because of me he studied MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. At the beginning he regretted it. Maybe now, close to his doctor, not as much anymore. I wish him to find his fulfillment in his upcoming activity in the private economy.

Back to Golf:

Because of Golf he met his ALEX. He was her GOLF INSTRUCTOR, she was his pupil. This was about six years ago.

At the beginning for me Alex seemed to be a little incommunicative. Sometimes she just says NOTHING - at least when I am there. But perhaps it is because - I just say it rakishly - she is not taking everything too seriously.

In any case, she proved her QUALITIES to me when Robert once admitted. "Without Alex I wouldn´t graduated from university!"

Therefore both made their best choice.

Everything starts with some HOPE and DREAMS. Once they are fulfilled you should never expel them because what would life be without them?

Dreams - Angela Ramm 2003

Helmut Zöpfel, a poet from Munich once explained it very well with one of his poems: I quote:

Dreams

Before, I always went as a little boy
slowly to a meadow.
I laid down there in the grass
looked at the clouds and dreamt something.
Dreamt about later too, about the wide world,
about skyscrapers, big cars and lots of money.

...Now I sit on the top of a skyscraper,
and when I look out of the window up there,
then I see far over away from here
a small piece of meadow, a little spot.
Then I dream again, and then I see in my dream
laying me down in the gras and looking at the clouds.

Congratulation and all the best for your life!
